Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and Return journey to Kampala

On the last day of your 3-Day Murchison Falls Safari, you will go chimpanzee tracking in either the Kaniyo Pabidi Forest or the Budongo Forest. First head to the National Park offices where you will receive a briefing about the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee tracking.

Together with your group, tracking gear, packed lunch, and porter for the backpack (if you want one), you will move into the forests to search for the endangered primates.

The search for the chimpanzees may take as little as 30 minutes or up to several hours, depending on how deep the family has moved into the forest in search of water, food, and shelter. Once you find the chimpanzees, you will enjoy interacting with them for at least one hour, as they eat, play, and tease each other. Take as many videos and photos as you like.

Following the chimpanzee trekking, you will set off on your return journey to Kampala, stopping for lunch on the way. Your 3-Day Murchison Falls Safari will end when your guide drops you off at either your hotel or the airport.
